In order to receive a payout as a host, you will need to connect your bank account via Stripe. Stripe is a PCI-compliant gateway used by hundreds of thousands of vendors worldwide including Amazon and Facebook. Neighbor does not store any of your payment information.

The safety of your personal information is paramount to us and Stripe ensures your information is kept safe! Follow the instructions below or check out this quick video tutorial to start getting paid by Neighbor.

After logging into your Neighbor account, click on your profile image in the upper-right corner and select “Profile.”

On the left side under "Profile", click on “Payment Methods."

Click the green button that reads “Connect Bank Account.”

Click the blue text that reads “Connect with Stripe.”

You will be redirected to Stripe, our payment gateway. Sign in with your phone number and email, then select "Next".

You will next be prompted to type in a verification code that is texted to your mobile device. If you do not see this code sent to you, click on the blue text that reads "resend code" or you can use a different mobile number.

Next, you'll be prompted to sign into your Stripe account. If you do not have an account, then you will need to click on the text at the bottom of the page that reads "Don't have an account? Sign up". Then, select "Continue".

You will be prompted to an additional verification page. Type in the verification code that is texted to your mobile device. Then, select "Continue".

You will then be directed to a page asking for your personal details. All boxes on this page will be pre-populated with your information so all you need to do is click "Next" at the bottom of the page.

Next, you will need to input your bank account information. You will be given the choice to connect to a bank account or debit card. Either way, you will be paid by Neighbor via direct deposit. Once you've filled in the requested information, click on "Next" at the bottom of the page.

Next, you will be taken to a verification summary page. If under "Management and Ownership" it reads "information required soon," click on the "Update" button.

You will then be prompted to input your date of birth and social security number. Then, click "Done."

You will then be redirected back to a pop up on Click on the blue text that reads "I've finished connecting."

You will then be directed back to the payment methods page in your account on If you've successfully connected, the green button on the right hand side of the page should now read "Manage Host Payouts."  

You can visit this page at any time to see your payout history and any future pending payouts. As a friendly reminder, as a Host you receive your payout at the end of a rental period (or 30 days after the start date). It's the easiest money you could ever make!
