What is Quick Move-In?
Quick Move-In is a feature you can enable on your listing that automatically approves reservations for you!
Why should I use Quick Move-In?
About 80% of renters are interested in moving their belongings within 3 days of booking a space. Automatically approving reservations makes it more likely that your space will be rented quickly. Using Quick Move-In will also boost your listing in the Neighbor search results to help more renters find your space!
How do I enable Quick Move-In on a new listing?
While you are creating or editing a listing, you will be asked if you would like to enable Quick Move-In. If you do, this will mark your listing with the Quick Move-In badge and reservations will automatically be approved for you.
Can I enable Quick Move-In on my existing listings?
Of course! It’s quick and easy to do. Learn how to activate Quick Move-In on your existing listings!
Will renters show up to my space unannounced?
No, renters will still need to coordinate a drop off time with you through Messages. Renters will be able to see your address when their reservation is instantly approved. When the reservation is approved, Neighbor sends the renter a message that asks them to contact you to coordinate a move in time.
Do I need to let my new renter move in within 24 hours?
Your renter specifies the move-in date; it could be several days out or it could be within 24 hours. It’s a good idea to make sure that you can be available within 24 hours just in case they need to move in sooner, but they will still need to coordinate a good drop off time with you.
Quick Move-In Pro Tips
Customize your welcome message!
Set an automatic welcome message that is sent out as soon as a reservation is approved. This works for any listing, but it’s especially useful for Quick Move-In listings. For example, to coordinate a drop-off time quickly you could say:
Hello, thanks for renting my space! What day and time works best for you?
Make your listing as accurate as possible!
You can avoid confusion and time-sucking cancelations by making your listing as accurate as possible. Make sure you measure your space, take lots of good pictures, and measure and describe the narrowest entry point of your space! It’s a hassle for both you and the renter if they don’t realize that their stuff doesn’t fit in the space or through your door.
What if the reservation doesn’t work out?
Any reservation can be canceled within 24 hours of being placed for a full refund.
How can I be sure a reservation is safe?
We work hard to make sure Neighbor is a safe community for both renters and hosts. All reservations are contingent on both renters and hosts following our Terms of Service. This includes not storing illegal, hazardous, flammable, or perishable items, paying and receiving payment only through the Neighbor payment platform, and not allowing renters to live or work in your space.
