## **What is the First Month Discount and how does it work?**

The First Month Discount is a special feature hosts can enable on listings to offer 50% off their listing price for the first month of a reservation (as long as the reservation is for two months or longer). This allows listings to be more attractive to potential renters and increase the likelihood of the listing being reserved.

After a host approves a reservation with a First Month Discount, the renter will be charged the discounted rate for the first month. When the reservation renews for the second rental month, the renter will be charged full price for all subsequent months.

## **What if a renter only stays for one month?**

If the renter does not stay longer than one month, the First Month Discount will become void and the renter will be charged for the other half of the first month's listing price.

## **How does a host enable First Month Discount?**

To enable First Month Discount on a listing, hosts should visit their Listings page, edit the listing for which they'd like to turn on First Month Discount, and save changes to the listing. This change will only affect future reservations for the listing, not current reservations.
