Neighbor proudly provides a safe and secure online community for all of its users! As a part of each monthly rental payment from [renters](https://help.neighbor.com/en_us/why-renters-love-to-use-neighbor-HJ0hWulRA), Neighbor adds a small [Service Fee](https://kst.mr/B13FufKKq) that enables Neighbor to provide services and protections to ensure you receive the best storage possible. The amount of the service fee is based on many factors, but mostly on where and how you decide to store your items. The amount of the service fee is displayed on each listing under “Subtotal.” 

For our [hosts](https://help.neighbor.com/en_us/why-hosts-love-to-use-neighbor-r1nTCPlCA), we charge a small 4.9% + $0.30 [Processing Fee](https://kst.mr/rky3dGtK5) to each monthly payout. This allows Neighbor to provide our $1 Million [Host Guarantee](https://www.neighbor.com/host-guarantee) and [Payout Protection](https://kst.mr/HkSk7d9Kc).
