Once you approve a reservation request, the reservation will remain active until you or the renter have canceled the reservation through the Neighbor app or Neighbor website. If you need the renter to [vacate your storage space](https://neighbor.kustomer.help/articles/-rkKDAUCu), you’ll need to provide the renter with at least [30 days’ notice](https://help.neighbor.com/en_us/how-to-give-my-renter-a-notice-to-vacate-rkG8DCIRu). Learn more about our [Cancellation & Refund Policy](https://help.neighbor.com/cancellation-and-refund-policy-SkR8D08Ad).

It is the primary responsibility of the renter to end their reservation through the Neighbor app or website to prevent future payments from being charged. **If the host is aware that the renter (i) no longer intends to use the space and (ii) has permanently removed their items from the space or never stored items in the space, the host should cancel the reservation through the Neighbor app or website on behalf of the renter.**

If you are concerned about how canceling may affect your Top Host badge, you won’t need to worry unless you cancel more than 25% of your reservations.
