#### _**Effective for your 2025 earnings**_

## **Hosts who earned $20,000 or more per year**

[As required by law](https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1099k.pdf), if you receive at least $20,000 in reportable payouts in a calendar year over 200+ transactions, Neighbor will issue a Form 1099-K (if you have [provided all the required tax information](https://help.neighbor.com/en_us/why-does-neighbor-need-my-tax-information-S1ShAaCec)). A copy will also be sent to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

## **Host who earned less than $20,000 per year**

If you have received less than $20,000 in reportable payments in a year, you might not receive a 1099-K. However, you can find information on your payouts and earned income from your Stripe dashboard. To find it, navigate to your [Bank Account](https://www.neighbor.com/dashboard/442833/profile/payment) page and click “Manage Host Payouts”.

_Note: Although there are federal thresholds for issuing a 1099, some states require it at lower thresholds. State thresholds _may apply even if you wouldn’t receive a federal 1099-K_._

_Neighbor is unable to provide tax advice and encourages all hosts to consult with a tax professional for assistance with reporting income from renting out your storage space._
