Sharing & promoting your listings

Last Updated: March 2025 • Est. Read Time: 2 MIN

One of the benefits of hosting on Neighbor is having your space listed on our national storage and parking marketplace. We work hard to get your listings reserved as quickly as possible and while many hosts quickly receive reservations for their available listings, various factors can delay receiving another reservation such as pricing your listing too high or low ranking in Neighbor’s search results.

If you’ve already optimized your listings, sharing your listings on other platforms can be a great way to get additional visibility in your community.

How to find your shareable link

To share your listings online, you’ll need a link to post. You can find the shareable link of an individual listing on your Listings dashboard by pressing the icon with three vertical dots on the side of the listing and then clicking “Share”. You can then copy this URL. This link can also be found by clicking the Share icon when previewing your listing.

If you have listings at multiple addresses, you can also share a link to your public profile page which displays your available listings at different addresses. You can access your public profile by viewing one of your listings and then clicking on your name from the Host section toward the bottom of the page.

Online platforms to promote your listings

When it comes to promoting your listings, think about where your potential renters are and tailor your approach to increase visibility. Below is a list of potential places you can share your listings free of charge:

  • Facebook Marketplace: Facebook Marketplace is a widely used classifieds platform within the Facebook app for buying, selling, and renting.
  • Craigslist: Craigslist is a classified ads website that has a dedicated “Parking & Storage” section.
  • Nextdoor: Nextdoor is a hyper-local social media platform, great for reaching neighbors and nearby communities.
  • Social media: Sharing your listings on your personal social media accounts can drive awareness. Your friends may even amplify your post by re-sharing on their own accounts. You can also post in relevant Facebook Groups to reach more people.
  • Google Maps: Hosts with eligible listings can get Neighbor’s help in creating a profile on Google Maps for their listings. Learn more about this.

Getting interested renters to book on Neighbor

Neighbor offers both hosts and renters significant benefits and protections even after finding a renter. If there’s someone interested in renting your space, share the link to your listing and explain how to book on Neighbor.

Once a reservation begins, automatic billing removes the need for you to trust that your renter will pay on time and each month, our $1M Host Guarantee and Property Protection Plans give both you and your renters peace of mind, our Customer Support team is available for any reservation issues, and our Trust & Safety team is available to handle any complicated situations such as if your renter stops paying.

Accepting payment outside the Neighbor platform is against our Terms of Service and will result in your removal from the Neighbor platform.

Keeping both payments and communication on the Neighbor platform ensures a safe, secure and positive experience for both you and your renters!
